Our Favorite Store-Bought Snacks

We're all on-the-go. Here are our top picks for grab-and-go snack foods, with your health in mind!

This is the list you’ve been waiting for!

We’ve chosen what we believe are some of the best brands and food products on the market for when you need some easy, GRAB-AND-GO options.

In today’s food market, there are countless convenience items. Hundreds of snack foods line the shelves, but did you know that 74% of all the packaged goods at our store contain added sugars?

Our everyday snack foods are usually comprised of refined, processed grains, preservatives, artificial additives, genetically-modified corn sweeteners, and of course the biggest of all- sugar.

We want to help you sort out the items that are more health-conscious, so you can eat on-the-go with assurance and know you’re making a healthier choice for your body.

Here at Integrative Wellness Centers, we’re advocates for eating clean, real, whole foods as often as possible. We’d always prefer you snack on some veggies or fruit opposed to a bag of “organic, gluten-free” crackers, so that’s why we recommend you eat the foods on this list in moderation only.

The less processed food in your diet, the better.

But we also know that life can be busy.

Sometimes, we just don’t have time to prepare everything from scratch—we need an easy option when time is short and we’re on-the-go. A lot of times, kids won’t eat the raw vegetable sticks or fruit in their lunch boxes. And sometimes, you’re just craving a good ol’ crunchy snack.

We’re on the same page, and that’s where this handy list comes in.

The products you see below are:

  • Made with clean, wholesome ingredients
  • Free from artificial flavors, colors and preservatives

Most are also:

  • USDA Certified Organic
  • Non-GMO Project Verified
  • Gluten-Free
  • Dairy-Free

This ensures the ingredients and quality of the products are held to a high standard and also third-party verified.

How Our List is Organized

We’ve categorized our list in two ways:

  • Grab-and-Go Snacks—NO Refrigeration Required
  • Grab-and-Go Snacks—Refrigeration Required

And, we’ve listed each snack type by:

  • “Common Brands”—budget-conscious choices you can find at most grocery stores
  • “Specialty Brands”—found either in your grocer’s naturals/organics section or a health foods store

We hope this list helps you navigate the grocery aisles a little easier and eases your travel choices, so you can shop happy and healthy.

Enjoy!
